Art makes sense of life
Storytelling and everything that comes with the art form brings more joy and purpose to my human experience than most of what this world has to offer. With this Wix generated blog I aim to regularly upload my analysis on stories that have currently piqued my interest and to share some of my own personal art that would otherwise end up metaphorically collecting dust on my computer. Frankly, I read an obscene number of manga so try not to be too surprised when my inner otaku emerges and holds this blog hostage. My name is Adam Miguel Obonyano, I am a first generation United States citizen born to a Nigerian father and a Dominican mother. I was born and raised in southern California but currently live with my best friend in Brooklyn.
For as long as I can remember, I have had people telling me that my head was stuck in the clouds. They were right. Often times it feels like I split my time between two worlds. The one we all share and the one of magic that sprung to life from the mind of a naïve 18 year old kid. Six years later and this silly fairy tale world has become one populated with countless living, breathing characters who have leapt from the page to take on lives of their own.
I know wholeheartedly that Gifts of the Gods is my reason for being. It would be a pleasure to bring you along for the ride.
